Nabarangpur July 23 UDN}:: A legal awareness camp was organized on July 13, 2026, by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nabarangpur, at the B.Ed. College in Nabarangpur for National Cadet Corps (NCC) students.
The awareness programme focused on various legal provisions, gender sensitivity, NALSA’s “Spurha Scheme-2025”, and laws related to dowry awareness and prevention. The programme was organized under the direction of Sangram Keshari Pattnaik, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority and District & Sessions Judge, Nabarangpur.
The Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Sai Abhishva Gochhayat, attended the event as the chief guest and addressed the students on important legal provisions, including the law for protection of women from sexual harassment at the workplace and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
Other dignitaries and participants included Colonel Sunil Kumar, Batali An, Manorama Majhi, social worker Raj Kishore Nag, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defence Counsel, Nabarangpur, Subedar Major Mallik of the 13(O) NCC Battalion, Nabarangpur, along with para-legal volunteers and panel lawyers.
The programme was conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, with the objective of creating greater legal awareness among NCC students and informing them about their rights, legal protections, and available legal aid services.
