Nabarangpur, March 19: The first National Lok Adalat of 2026 was held in the district court premises under the direction of Sangram Kesari Pattnayak, President of the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur.
During the Lok Adalat:
District Judge Sangram Kesari Pattnayak resolved 1 civil case and awarded ₹3,70,000 as compensation.
The Family Court Judge Lilipta Pasayat settled 12 family dispute cases, recovering ₹5,77,872 as fines.
Senior Civil Judge Monita Tripathy resolved 4 civil cases.
Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Nabarangpur, Soumya Shankar Mahant settled 54 criminal cases, and Second Class Judicial Magistrate, Ankita Panigrahi, resolved 4 criminal cases.
In total, the National Lok Adalat disposed of 141 court cases and 22,189 revenue cases, recovering ₹39,45,598 in revenue.
Additionally:
14 bank-related cases were resolved, recovering ₹1,15,900 in loans.
153 electricity-related cases were settled, recovering ₹17,60,481 in electricity dues.
