Nabarangpur, May 05:: A training camp and book distribution program for principals of all higher secondary schools in the district was held at the local Municipal High School.
District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu attended as the chief guest and informed that, under the National Education Policy (NEP), Odia textbooks for Class XI Science stream have been prepared by the Institute of Odia Studies and Research from the current academic year.
Vijay Pradhan from the Institute explained how the Odia textbooks would help students study without fear and better understand the subjects. Additional District Education Officers Supriya Nayak and Srikant Jani stated that these books would be highly beneficial, especially for students from tribal areas.
Principal of Nabarangpur College, D. Govinda Rao, was also present on the dais. Principals including Santosh Sarangi (Karnamal Higher Secondary School), Balabhadra Sunani (Nandahandi Higher Secondary School), and others attended the program.
Each school was provided with 10 sets of books for their libraries. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Headmistress Meena Bag, and it was coordinated by District Science Inspector Chittaranjan Pattnaik.
