Bhubaneswar, Sept 23 [UDN}:The seventh sitting of the 17th Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly formally commenced today. On the opening day of the session, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi attended the proceedings and moved a condolence motion in memory of former members of the Assembly and other eminent personalities who have passed away.
While remembering their significant contributions to the development of Odisha, public service and the welfare of the people, the Chief Minister expressed his deep condolences to the bereaved families. The House paid tribute to the deceased and acknowledged their contributions to public life and the state.
The Chief Minister also said that the ongoing Assembly session would play an important role in advancing discussions and decisions related to Odisha’s economic progress, social welfare and various public-oriented policies. He emphasised the significance of the legislative proceedings in shaping measures aimed at development and improving public welfare across the state.
