Bhubaneswar, June 2: A special summer voluntary blood donation camp was organized at the Blood Centre of All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar under the joint initiative of the Odisha Blood Donors’ Federation and Satsang Group, keeping in view the increased demand during the summer season.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Satya Prakash from the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Associate Professor Dr. Debasish Mishra, and the Executive President of the Odisha Blood Donors’ Federation, Dr. Naresh Chandra Sahu.
A total of 15 units of blood were collected during the camp. The event was managed by Akshaya Kumar Rout, General Secretary of the Odisha Blood Donors’ Federation, along with Trilochan Das and members of the Satsang Group, including Rajesh Kumar Panda, Rakesh Behera, and Saroj Sahu.
At the end of the programme, the blood donors were felicitated with certificates and gifts on behalf of FBDO.
