Bhubaneswar, Aug. 2 (UDN): The Odisha Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Saturday approved 11 proposals spanning six major departments during its 45th meeting, with decisions aimed at strengthening governance, infrastructure and public welfare.

According to an official statement, the Cabinet deliberated on a range of policy and administrative matters before giving its nod to the proposals.
Among the approved items, five proposals were related to the Water Resources Department, reflecting the government’s continued emphasis on water management and infrastructure development. The Housing and Urban Development Department accounted for two proposals, while the Finance Department, Law Department, Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes Development Department, and the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment Department each had one proposal approved.
The decisions are expected to facilitate the implementation of several key initiatives across sectors, including water resource management, urban development, financial administration, legal reforms, tribal welfare and agricultural development.
The Cabinet’s approvals are aimed at accelerating development projects and improving the delivery of public services across the state. Detailed notifications and implementation guidelines for the approved proposals are expected to be issued by the respective departments in the coming days.
