According to the latest advisory, squally winds of 35–45 kmph, gusting up to 55 kmph, are likely to prevail along and off the Odisha coast during the period.

Sea Likely To Remain Rough

The IMD has forecast rough to very rough sea conditions, which could pose a serious risk to fishing boats and other vessels operating close to the coast.

In view of the anticipated deterioration in marine conditions, fishermen have been strongly advised not to venture into the sea during the four-day period.

Fishermen Urged To Follow Advisory

The weather warning comes amid active monsoon conditions over the region. Fishermen who are currently at sea have been advised to remain cautious and return to safer locations well before conditions deteriorate.

Authorities are also expected to closely monitor the situation along the coastline and communicate further advisories if required.

The IMD has urged fishing communities to strictly follow the marine weather warning and avoid taking risks until the adverse conditions subside.
