In 2025, Odisha welcomed over 1.13 crore domestic tourists and more than 87,000 international visitors, marking a significant milestone for the state’s tourism sector. Further, in the first five months of the current year alone, the state has already recorded over 56 lakh tourist arrivals, indicating sustained upward momentum.
Officials said this consistent rise highlights Odisha’s growing appeal as a multi-dimensional tourism destination, offering experiences ranging from ancient temples and cultural traditions to pristine beaches, wildlife sanctuaries, and natural landscapes.
The government has attributed this growth to improved infrastructure, better connectivity, and focused efforts to promote Odisha’s cultural and spiritual heritage at national and international platforms.
With rising tourist inflows and expanding global visibility, Odisha is emerging as one of India’s fast-growing tourism destinations, strengthening its position in the global travel landscape.
