Odisha Gets Relief from Heavy Rains as Depression Weakens; Caution Continues in Two Districts

Bhubaneswar, July 7 (UDN): Odisha witnessed a gradual improvement in weather conditions on Tuesday as rainfall intensity reduced across several parts of the state following days of heavy showers triggered by a depression system.

The weather system, which brought widespread rainfall and disrupted normal activities in many areas, has moved away from Odisha, leading to a decline in rain activity. The easing of rainfall has brought relief to residents and authorities engaged in managing the impact of the recent downpour.

Despite the improvement, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar districts, advising people to remain cautious and stay updated on weather developments.

The recent heavy rainfall affected daily life in several parts of the state, with reports of waterlogging, disrupted transportation, and challenges in local connectivity. Government agencies continue to assess the situation and remain prepared to respond to any weather-related issues.

Weather officials have advised residents to follow safety guidelines and remain alert as isolated rainfall may continue in some parts of Odisha under the influence of changing weather conditions.
