Odisha Government Issues SOP for Free KG to PG Education Scheme

Bhubaneswar, July 14 (UDN): The Odisha government has released the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for implementing its free education initiative from Kindergarten (KG) to Postgraduate (PG) level, outlining eligibility criteria, fee guidelines, and responsibilities of educational institutions.

The SOP aims to ensure smooth implementation of the ambitious scheme and provide accessible education opportunities to eligible students across the state.

Under the guidelines, institutions will have to follow specified rules regarding fee structures and administrative responsibilities. The government has also made 75 per cent attendance mandatory for students to avail benefits under the programme.

The initiative is expected to support students by reducing financial barriers and promoting greater access to quality education from the early schooling stage to higher education.

The Odisha government said the scheme reflects its commitment towards strengthening the education system and creating more opportunities for students across the state.
