The directive has been issued by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department through a letter from Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Arabinda Padhee to all district collectors across the state.

Officials said the move is aimed at improving administrative efficiency, transparency and accountability in government offices functioning under the revenue administration, including collectorates, sub-collector offices, tehsil offices and block-level establishments.

The transfer order will apply to a wide range of ministerial and field-level employees such as Section Officers (SO), Senior Revenue Assistants (SRA), Junior Revenue Assistants (JRA), Revenue Supervisors (RS), Revenue Inspectors (RI), Assistant Revenue Inspectors (ARI) and Amins who have remained posted in the same office or institution beyond the prescribed tenure.

The department has instructed district administrations to complete the entire transfer and rotation exercise by June 15, 2026, during the current transfer season. The government has reportedly taken serious note of pending transfer cases in several districts and emphasized strict adherence to existing transfer policies and guidelines.

Authorities have also been directed to submit a detailed compliance report to the department immediately after completion of the process.

Officials believe the large-scale reshuffle will help strengthen governance and ensure smoother functioning of the revenue administration across Odisha.
