Bhubaneswar, Oct 1 [UDN}:The much-awaited ‘Shri Jagannath Darshan Yojana’ has been launched from Shabar Srikhetra in Koraput to facilitate devotees, particularly senior citizens, to visit and have darshan of Lord Jagannath at Puri Srikhetra.
The initiative aims to fulfil the long-standing aspiration of senior citizens in the Koraput region to visit the holy shrine of Lord Jagannath. Under the government’s scheme, eligible senior citizens will be provided an opportunity to undertake the pilgrimage from Koraput Shabar Srikhetra to Puri Srikhetra and seek the blessings of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.
The launch marks an important step towards making the pilgrimage to Puri more accessible to elderly devotees from the tribal-dominated Koraput district.
