Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10 (UDN): Odisha’s investment outreach programme in the United Arab Emirates entered its second day with a renewed focus on attracting investments, forging industrial partnerships and strengthening economic ties between Odisha and the UAE.

The second day of the Odisha Investors’ Meet features a series of high-level government engagements, investor meetings and sector-specific business discussions aimed at showcasing the state’s investment potential.
The programme began with a high-level meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, who is also a Cabinet Member and Chairman of the Council of International Investments. Discussions are centred on expanding investment opportunities and deepening economic cooperation between Odisha and the UAE.
The Odisha delegation is also scheduled to hold a series of one-on-one meetings with leading industrial groups to explore potential investments and industrial partnerships in the state.
A major focus of the day is the aluminium downstream sector. An industry roundtable will showcase Odisha’s strong aluminium ecosystem and highlight opportunities for investors in downstream manufacturing and value-added industries.
As part of the outreach, the delegation will visit the Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) facility to explore potential areas of collaboration in aluminium production and downstream industries.
The delegation will also engage with the Indian Business and Professional Council (IBPC) to discuss ways to strengthen India-UAE business relations while presenting Odisha as an attractive investment destination.
Another key engagement will be an industrial roundtable with the Bureau of Middle East Recycling, focusing on recycling, the circular economy and sustainable industrial development.
The day will conclude with an interactive session involving Odisha’s business delegation. The discussions are expected to focus on emerging business opportunities, market linkages and strategies to further strengthen Odisha-UAE economic relations.
The state government’s UAE outreach is aimed at positioning Odisha as a preferred destination for global investors by highlighting its industrial ecosystem, natural resources, infrastructure and growing opportunities across multiple sectors.
