Bhubaneswar, Aug 12 [UDN}:The birth anniversary of renowned freedom fighter, social reformer, writer, and women’s rights advocate Sarala Devi was observed at Bhanja Kala Mandap in BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar, as part of the August Kranti commemorative programme.
The event was organised to remember and pay tribute to Sarala Devi’s remarkable contribution to India’s freedom movement and her lifelong efforts towards social reform, women’s empowerment, education, and the upliftment of disadvantaged sections of society. The occasion also highlighted the historical significance of August Kranti, which marked a decisive phase in India’s struggle for independence.
