Pension Beneficiaries Get Major Relief as Authorities Move to Clear Pending Benefits and Ensure Timely Financial Assistance

Bhubaneswar,  Aug 24 [UDN}:Beneficiaries who have been waiting to receive their pension are set to get relief soon, with eligible applicants expected to be included under the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana.
The authorities have directed that the verification of 63,848 pending applications be completed by August 18. All District Collectors have been instructed to work in mission mode to expedite the verification process and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive their pension without further delay.
At present, more than 36.75 lakh beneficiaries are receiving pensions under the state’s social security pension programmes. However, as of August 12, a total of 63,848 offline applications were still awaiting verification.
Once the verification process is completed, the way will be cleared for eligible applicants to start receiving their pension benefits. At the same time, applications found to be ineligible will be excluded, helping the government clean up and update its beneficiary database.
The move is expected to bring significant relief to thousands of people who have been waiting for approval of their pension applications and ensure that pension assistance reaches only those who meet the eligibility criteria.
