Jagatsinghpur, July 27 UDN}: In view of the prevailing heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions, all schools and Anganwadi centres across Mayurbhanj and Jagatsinghpur districts have been declared closed today as a precautionary measure. The decision has been taken to ensure the safety and well-being of students, children, teachers, Anganwadi workers, and other staff members amid the ongoing rain.
The authorities have advised parents and guardians to keep children at home and avoid unnecessary travel during the period of inclement weather. The temporary closure is aimed at preventing any possible risks arising from waterlogging, slippery roads, poor visibility, and other rain-related hazards.
The administration is closely monitoring the weather situation and will take further decisions based on the prevailing conditions and weather forecasts. Residents have also been urged to remain cautious and follow official advisories issued by the district administration and relevant authorities.
