School Classrooms Turn into “Election Classrooms” as Malkangiri Intensifies Voter Awareness Campaign

Malkangiri, June 10:  The district administration of Malkangiri has begun 0extensive preparations to ensure that the upcoming elections are conducted in a free, fair, and disciplined manner. Large-scale review meetings and voter awareness programmes were organized today in different blocks of the district.

A significant review meeting was held at Mathili Block under the chairmanship of Additional District Magistrate and Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) Somnath Pradhan to speed up the election process in the 147–Chitrakonda Assembly Constituency. The progress of voter-list related form distribution and Special Information Registration activities was reviewed during the meeting. A “doubt-clearance session” was also conducted to resolve queries of field-level staff. Officials including the Mathili BDO, Assistant Collector (Election), and nodal officers participated in the meeting.

Meanwhile, negligence in election-related work was not tolerated in Chitrakonda Block. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors whose performance remained below 50 percent were strictly reviewed by the Chitrakonda BDO, Tahsildar, and Additional Tahsildar. They were clearly instructed to immediately improve their work performance.

To create voter awareness, Sub-Collector and ERO of the 146–Malkangiri Assembly Constituency, Duryodhan Bhoi, personally visited the field. “Election Classrooms” (Chunav Pathshala) were organized today at X-Board Upper Primary School and BBGU Government Upper Primary School in Malkangiri. Through these programmes, local residents were educated about voter registration and their democratic rights and responsibilities.
