State Government Launches Women Entrepreneurship Platform in Odisha on MSME Day, Promoting Innovation and Inclusive Economic Growth

Bhubaneswar, July 1 {UDN}:  On the occasion of MSME Day, the State Chapter of the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP) was inaugurated at the Conference Hall of Lok Seva Bhavan. Launched in collaboration with NITI Aayog, this initiative marks a significant milestone in promoting women’s entrepreneurship in Odisha. The platform aims to empower women by providing opportunities to enhance and utilize their skills, knowledge, and entrepreneurial potential.

The event was attended by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri, MSME, Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Minister Gokulananda Mallick, Balasore MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Women Entrepreneurship Platform Mission Director Anna Roy, other senior officials, and several distinguished guests who joined virtually from different locations.

The initiative is expected to strengthen Odisha’s entrepreneurial ecosystem by encouraging and supporting women-led enterprises across the state.
