Tentulikhunti, Aug 19 [UDN}:As per the directions of the state government, a district-level joint public grievance hearing camp was held today at the conference hall of Tentulikhunti Block to ensure the prompt and quality resolution of public grievances.
The camp was jointly chaired by Nabarangpur District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain and Superintendent of Police Kashyap Parth Jagadish. Additional District Magistrate (General) Dr. Pramod Kumar Pusti, Divisional Forest Officer Udayan Subuddhi, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad Biranchi Narayan Darwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Kumar Mishra, Block Development Officer Manoj Panigrahi, along with district- and block-level officials from various departments, were present and heard the grievances of the public.
A total of 52 grievances were received during the camp, including 30 individual grievances and 22 collective grievances.
The individual grievances included requests related to houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), ration cards, various social security allowances, land and property-related issues, and other matters. The collective grievances mainly concerned drinking water supply, road repairs, electricity-related problems, issues concerning Anganwadi Centres, and other basic amenities.
Of the grievances received, two were resolved immediately at the spot. The remaining 50 grievances were registered on the public grievance hearing portal and forwarded to the concerned departmental officials. The officials concerned were instructed to ensure their prompt, fair and quality resolution within the stipulated time frame.
On the occasion, District Collector Dr. Maheswar Swain directed all departmental officials to give the grievances of the public the highest priority and hear them with sensitivity and seriousness. He also advised officials to ensure that the benefits of various government welfare schemes and programmes reach the genuine eligible beneficiaries correctly and in a timely manner.
Members of the public present at the camp placed their problems before the senior officials of the district administration. The district administration assured that every grievance would be examined seriously and that necessary action would be taken at the earliest possible time in accordance with the law and established rules.
