Kotpad, July 8 {UDN}: The Bharat Petroleum fuel station located in front of Kotpad College has officially resumed operations after remaining closed for nearly six years. With its reopening, the petrol pump is once again ready to serve the people of the region, bringing much-needed relief to residents and vehicle owners.
The reopening ceremony was led by Muni Samantaray, Vice-Chairperson of the Kundura Block Zilla Parishad, who was selected by Bharat Petroleum authorities to take charge of the fuel station. The inauguration was attended by Kotpad MLA Rupa Bhatra as the chief guest, along with Congress MLA candidate Anamu Dian, former MLA Chandrasekhar Majhi, Chairman M. Shankar, and several political leaders and party workers. The dignitaries jointly inaugurated the petrol pump by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
Among those present were Block Chairman Tapan Panigrahi, Zilla Parishad member Gita Majhi, Bar Association President Mani Pattnaik, along with Rameswar Jena, Narendra Swain, Pankaj Patra, Ganesh Panda, Biren Bisoi, Shankar Panda, M.D. Salim, Arif Patel, Prasad Bidika, Sanatan Das, Drupata Bhatra, Gopal Singh Lal, Shiva Pattnaik, Topan Mahapatra, Ishwar Mahanti, Hemanta Patra, Ranganath Pattnaik, Ajit Pattnaik, Tripati Mahanti, Akshaya Swain, and several other distinguished personalities, public representatives, members of the Bharat Media Association, and journalists.
The reopening of the petrol pump is expected to greatly benefit farmers, as well as owners of motorcycles, cars, trucks, and other vehicles in the Kotpad region. Residents will no longer have to travel long distances to purchase fuel, effectively ending the fuel shortage that had affected the area for years.
The successful reopening was widely welcomed by the local community, with people from different sections of society congratulating Muni Samantaray and his family for restoring this important public service. The renewed fuel station is expected to play a significant role in improving transportation convenience and supporting the region’s economic activities.
