Bhubaneswar, Sept 9 [UDN}:In a major relief for vehicle owners, the government has significantly reduced the penalties for violations related to PUCC (Pollution Under Control Certificate), responding to the demands of the general public.
The earlier penalty of ₹10,000 for violating PUCC regulations has now been substantially reduced.
New Penalty Rates:
– Motorcycles and Three-Wheelers:
First offence – ₹1,000
Second offence – ₹2,000
– Cars, Jeeps, Cabs and Tractors:
First offence – ₹2,000
Second offence – ₹5,000
– Other Vehicles:
First offence – ₹3,000
Second offence – ₹6,000
Vehicle owners and drivers are advised to follow all road safety regulations for their own safety and the safety of others. To avoid penalties, ensure that all vehicle-related documents, including the Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC), are kept valid and up to date.
