Koraput, Sept 28 [UDN}: The number of wards under the Koraput Municipality is set to increase from the existing 21 to 26, with the expansion being proposed in view of the city’s growing population. Koraput Municipal Chairperson Lalat Ranjan Sethi has informed that five new wards will be added to the municipality.
The proposed addition of five wards is expected to bring changes to the administrative structure of Koraput town. With the expansion, greater attention is likely to be given to the distribution of civic services, local administration and development planning across the growing urban population.
