Severe Heatwave Hits Odisha, Temperatures Cross 37°C

Bhubaneswar, 12th March: Odisha is currently facing a strong heatwave, with temperatures exceeding 37°C. At 11:30 AM today, Bhubaneswar recorded a temperature of 37°C, marking the highest temperature of the season so far. This is the first time this year that temperatures have crossed the 37°C mark.

Jharsuguda also recorded a temperature of 37.2°C, setting a new local high. The Odisha Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert, warning that the intense heat may continue until the 16th of March.

Authorities have urged residents to take precautions, including staying hydrated and avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours. The ongoing heatwave is expected to worsen over the coming days.
