Jharsuguda,2nd Aug 2025: A grand farewell felicitation ceremony was recently held in honor of Giridhari Patel, the Headmaster of Rakari Upper Primary School located in Sialrama village under Bandhpali Panchayat of Kirimira Block, Jharsuguda district, on the occasion of his retirement. The event was presided over by Kirimira Cluster Education Officer Jayanarayan Panda.
Among the chief guests were retired Block Cluster Education Officer Sushil Kumar Bag from Ganjam, and guest of honor Ashok Kumar Patel, Kubera Choudhury, Videshi Behera, and Gunamani Patel. Also present were retired headmasters Kshetrapal Nayak, Chudamani Nayak, Madhusudan Amat, Meera Nayak, Bharati Patel, along with Pitambar Prusty (Factory Welfare Officer of Mo Sarkar/Navsambal), Unnayan Officer Siman Barik, senior journalist Mehbub Mahtab from the District Press Club, Dileswar Bag, and Kunj Bihari Patel.
Distinguished guests also included former student and current assistant teacher Mausumi Bhoi of Nagaspur High School, Cuttack, and Bharat Bhoi, lecturer at Tumlia Higher Secondary School, Sundargarh.
In addition, Anjan Kumar Patel (Headmaster of Telidihi), Nityananda Jagat (Headmaster of Sarasapali), Binapani Jena, and Bilasini Dandapat attended the event and highly praised Giridhari Patel’s dedicated service during his long teaching career, acknowledging both the challenges he faced and the commendable initiatives he undertook.
Students of the school also presented entertaining cultural performances during the program. The event was hosted by teacher Sunil Kumar Patel.
The successful organization of the ceremony was made possible through the efforts of the Sphul Committee, led by president Prasna Kumar Nag and member Padmalochan Budula, along with members Manasi Swain, Ahalya Swain, Sushmita Swain, Sushama Nag, Anita Nag, Geetanjali Nag, Santoshini Swain, Buddhimati Bhoi, and Tejaraj Nag. Teachers Surendra Kumar Patel, Arati Patel, Padmini Adha, and Nirupama Pradhan also played a key role in coordinating and supporting the event.
