New Delhi, 4th Aug 2025: The Sea and Seven Villages, directed by Himanshu Khatua, has been selected for a National Film Award. The announcement was made today in New Delhi. The film has been awarded under the Special Category Mention. It is a documentary film produced by Kadambini Media and conceptualized by Dr. Iti Samanta. The film explores the impact of climate change on the seven villages of Satabhaya. Dedicated by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KISS and KIIT, the film has been nominated in the Non-Feature Category. Prashantanu Mahapatra has been nominated as Best Cameraman for his work in this film.
