Community Policing Boosted at ‘Ama Police’ Meeting in Jeypore

Koraput,7th Aug 2025:  The Jeypore Town Police organized an ‘Ama Police’ Committee meeting at a local auditorium to strengthen police-public cooperation.

The event was led by Town Police Station Officer Ullas Chandra Raut. Chief Guest was Jeypore Sub-Division Police Officer Partha Jagadish Kashyap. Distinguished guests included Jeypore Municipality Chairman Narendra Kumar Mahanti, Vice Chairperson Sunita, and Sadar PS Officer Sachindra Pradhan, among others.

The main aim of the meeting was to foster a healthy and peaceful environment in society by building stronger ties between the public and the police. It also aimed to enhance public awareness and reassure citizens of their safety, thereby creating a bridge between the police and the community.

To make the initiative inclusive, Jeypore Town Police had invited intellectuals and representatives from various organizations across the city. These attendees shared their opinions to help maintain peace in the urban area. Discussions were held on addressing various issues such as crime, traffic congestion, and ways to enhance public safety.
