9th August 2025, Bhubaneswar: Kia India Limited has officially launched its latest electric offering — the Carens Classic EV — at the Central Kia showroom in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant step forward in the company’s electric mobility journey in India.
The launch event was graced by Mr. Nishant, Deputy General Manager of the State Bank of India, as the chief guest. The event also saw the presence of Mr. Vishal Dhawan (Director, Central Kia Operations), Mr. Hemant Mishra (Area Manager, Kia India), and Mr. Prashant Behera (General Manager, Sales).
Blending power with elegance, the Carens Classic EV boasts a bold exterior design and a luxurious interior inspired by the popular Kia Carnival.
It is a 7-seater electric vehicle, equipped with advanced features including:
- 20 intelligent driving and safety features
- Dual panoramic display panel
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane keeping assist
- Collision avoidance system
The Carens Classic EV comes with two battery variants:
- 42 kWh battery offering a range of up to 404 km on a single charge
- 51.4 kWh battery delivering up to 490 km range
With fast-charging capability, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes, ensuring convenience for long-distance and city travel alike.
The launch of the Carens Classic EV reinforces Kia’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and expanding its electric vehicle portfolio for the Indian market.
