Nabarangpur,18th Aug 2025: At the district-level Independence Day parade ground in Nabarangpur, a total of 26 educational institutions and police platoons participated. Students presented patriotic and cultural programs. Parade competition winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest.
Group A (Senior Uniform): Winner – NCC, Nabarangpur College; Runner-up – NCC, Ekalavya Model School.
Group B (Uniform): Winner – Red Cross (RCD High School); Runner-up – Scouts, Saraswati Shishu Vidyamandir.
College Civilian Group: Winner – Smart Gurukul; Runner-up – Shiksha Vigyan College.
Group C (Civilian Senior): Winner – Bapuji Public School; Runner-up – Unique Public School.
Group D (Civilian Junior): Winner – Techno Gurukul; Runner-up – Ex-Board UP School.
All winning groups received certificates and trophies.
In addition, outstanding employees and institutions from various sectors were felicitated:

- Piramal Foundation – Awarded for Sampurnata Abhiyan.
A cultural program and award ceremony was held at RCD High School. District Collector Maheshwar Swain attended as Chief Guest, while Additional Collectors Biswajit Barman and Tapan Kumar Khuntia, along with DEO Chhatrapati Sahu, graced the occasion as distinguished guests.
On the occasion of Independence Day, winners of various competitions held at school and college levels – essay writing, debate, quiz, painting, and music – were awarded certificates and trophies. Students from four schools performed cultural programs.
