Umerkote, 21st Aug 2025 Under the supervision of Mrs. Rashmita Panda, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), a three-day official tour programme in Nabarangpur district has been scheduled from 18/08/2025 to 20/08/2025.
As part of the visit, on 18/08/2025 she first inspected the Umerkote Sub-Divisional Hospital and carried out a detailed review of its overall functioning.
The programme was attended by Nabarangpur Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, Additional District Magistrate Mr. Tapan Kumar Khuntia, District Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Mr. Biranchi Narayan Daroband, Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Santosh Kumar Panda, Executive Officer of Umerkote Municipality Mr. Alok Kumar Anugulia, Block Development Officer Mr. Manoj Meher, and Additional Tahsildar Mr. Nilambar Pujari, among others.
Later, she visited the Umerkote Industrial Training Institute (ITI), where she emphasized the need for qualitative improvement in students’ training. She also held discussions with Principal Mr. Sanjay Kumar Thakur, Chief Instructor Mr. Pradeep Kumar Burman, and Senior Instructor of Electrical Department Mr. Saurabh Mishra. She advised them to place special focus on enhancing employment opportunities and prioritizing skill-based job placements for the trainees.
