Hospital RKS Meeting Focuses on Advanced Diagnostics and Security Measures

Jeypore, 28th Aug 2025: A meeting of the executive members of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) was held, where the emphasis was laid on starting CT scan and MRI services at the District Headquarters Hospital and setting up a police outpost within the hospital premises. Various hospital-related issues, solutions, and achievements were discussed in detail.

District Collector Manoj Satyaban Mahajan, who chaired the meeting, advised that all efforts must be directed towards improving the hospital and ensuring high-quality patient care. The meeting was held on 19th August under his leadership.

Participants included CDMO Dr. Rabindranath Sethi, DMO Dr. Dillip Kumar Biswal, Hospital Manager Rupasi Madhumita Nayak, Tathagata Das, officials from various line departments, and executive members.

Discussions covered several important topics:

  • Establishing an Integrated Public Health Laboratory (IPHL),
  • Providing a separate online UPS for the blood bank,
  • Repairing issues such as water leakage in new buildings and toilet maintenance,
  • Deploying additional staff for different hospital units,
  • Increasing the number of beds and supplying more indoor patient materials.

Other points included:

  • Police outpost in the DHH premises,
  • Collaboration with public sector companies to establish MRI and CT scan facilities,
  • Setting up vermi-compost pits for the Kayakalp cleanliness initiative,
  • Enhancing the capacity of the oxygen and electrical panels,
  • Procurement of wheelchairs, stretchers, and battery-operated patient transport vehicles.

DMO Dr. Biswal informed that after the upcoming meeting on 26th August, a clearer picture regarding most of these proposals will emerge.
