Bhubaneswar, August 30, 2025: A grand cultural programme was held in Bhubaneswar on the sidelines of the National Conference on Welfare of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs), celebrating the rich heritage and diversity of these communities. The evening witnessed the presence of several esteemed dignitaries, marking a moment of pride and unity.

The event was graced by Hon’ble Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Dr. Raghubar Das, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers, and other prominent leaders and officials.
During the conference, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the state’s ongoing commitment to the upliftment of SC and ST communities. He remarked, “Today, we are doing well. Tomorrow, we will do even better — certainly better.” Reaffirming his vision, he added that Odisha is building a strong path toward a more inclusive and empowered future for its marginalized communities.
The Chief Minister emphasized that improving education, healthcare, livelihood opportunities, and skills among SC/ST communities remains a top priority. “This conference and the initiatives around it will pave the way for a prosperous tomorrow for our Scheduled Castes and Tribes,” he noted.
The cultural programme showcased traditional music, dance, and art forms of various tribal and SC communities from Odisha and across India, reflecting their deep cultural legacy and vibrant identities.
The event served as both a celebration and a reminder of the continued need for inclusive growth and meaningful development policies tailored to the needs of historically marginalized groups.
