Chandahandi, 3rd Sept 2025: On the occasion of Ganesh Puja, a dance competition was organized at Karadangari under Chandahandi Block by Bapuji Youth Association with the support of Indra Colony. Dance troupes from neighboring Chhattisgarh and Kalahandi districts participated in the event.
The chief guest of the event was former MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi. Among the honored guests were senior Congress leader Kshema Raj Bagh, Jamadarapada Sarpanch Krishna Jani, Block BJD President Gaurahari Nayak, Debendra Thela, Umashankar Dalai, Balaram Pattnayak, Har Pujari, Purushottam Bagh, Manohar Suna, and Nalini Kata.
The program was coordinated by youth leader Kubera Nial. Others who contributed to organizing the event included Yagyaseni Bagh, Mohan Bagh, Haldhar Bagh, Ruparam Suna, Jagabandhu Nual, Thakur Nag, Bhimasen Nag, Radheshyam Jagat, Jag Mohan Jagat, and Sarat Takri.
In the competition, the Kadalibhandar troupe secured the first position, Behera troupe from Kalahandi came second, Chandgiri troupe stood third, Dharakot troupe came fourth, and Semala troupe from Kalahandi secured the fifth position. All participating groups were awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes.
