During the raids, the team inspected several food outlets and identified unhygienic conditions and the sale of substandard food items. Approximately 10 kilograms of unsafe food were seized and destroyed on the spot.
In a concerning find, packets labeled as OMFED products were allegedly found mixed with detergent-like substances, raising serious health concerns. Notices have been issued to shopkeepers for violating food safety regulations and selling food under unsanitary conditions.
The BMC has assured that such enforcement actions will continue to protect consumers and maintain food quality standards in the city.
