Bhubaneswar, 20th Oct 2025: With the onset of the festive season, the Indian automobile market is seeing a surge in activity. In line with this trend, Hero MotoCorp is experiencing a significant boost in vehicle sales. A reduction in GST on two-wheelers during the festive season has led to a drop in prices, making it an ideal time for many first-time buyers to purchase 100cc and 125cc commuter segment bikes. These price benefits have enhanced the perceived value of these models.
Hero MotoCorp has witnessed an extraordinary level of customer interest and showroom footfall, which aligns with their pan-India sales strategy. Over the past year, interest in Hero MotoCorp’s products has grown considerably, aided further by favorable GST pricing benefits this year.
Thanks to this, footfall at showrooms has increased by more than 50% compared to the same festive period last year—an encouraging sign for the company.
Company’s Reaction
Responding to this success, Mr. Ashutosh Verma, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp’s India Business Unit, stated that this festive season has seen a phenomenal rise in immediate vehicle purchases. On the first day of Navaratri, compared to last year, there was a noticeable increase in customers walking into showrooms and purchasing their preferred two-wheelers.
He added that the current GST structure and new pricing strategy under GST 2.0 have generated overwhelming customer response. While there were earlier concerns during the preparation for this GST version, the revised pricing has sparked strong enthusiasm among buyers, leading to a wave of vehicle purchases without delay.
High Demand Across Segments
Hero’s 12 leading models across multiple segments have driven demand across both scooter and motorcycle categories. These popular models have helped elevate the overall sales intensity during this season.
