Officials and Employees Unite to Mark Vigilance Awareness Week

Jeypore,4th Nov 2025:  The Vigilance Office, Jeypore, observed the Vigilance Awareness Week with various awareness activities. The event was formally inaugurated by Jeypore Sub-Collector Akbaram Sashya Reddy, who flagged off an awareness rally marking the beginning of the week-long program.

The Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated from October 27 to November 2, 2024, during which various programs were organized to raise public awareness about anti-corruption measures. As part of the observance, village and palli sabhas (community meetings) were held across different areas to spread awareness about the need to prevent corruption.

A large awareness rally started from Raj Nagar, Jeypore, and concluded at the Vigilance Office. The rally included participants from different schools, colleges, and senior citizens, who walked through the town spreading the message of honesty and integrity among the public.

During the current year, 33 vigilance cases have been registered — including 12 trap cases, 10 DA (Disproportionate Assets) cases, and 11 misappropriation of government funds cases.

The message of the campaign emphasized:

> “We shall neither indulge in corruption nor tolerate it. Only by uprooting corruption can we build a healthy democracy.”

The Jeypore Vigilance Division has performed remarkably well in the field of anti-corruption activities and has emerged as one of the top-performing divisions in the state.

Ravindra Kumar Panda, SP, Vigilance, Jeypore, stated that the department is committed to achieving even better results in the coming years through dedicated and transparent work.
