Proud Moment for India: ISRO Successfully Launches Its Heaviest Satellite Yet

New Delhi:4th Nov 2025: ISRO has made history in space exploration. On Sunday, November 2, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched its heaviest satellite ever using the ‘Bahubali’ rocket.

According to reports, from the Sriharikota Space Centre, Satish Dhawan oversaw the launch at around 5:26 PM, successfully sending the CMS–03 satellite into space. The satellite weighs 14,490 kilograms.

This satellite was launched using ISRO’s most powerful rocket, the LVM3-M5, which is capable of carrying a large payload into orbit. Due to its ability to carry heavy satellites, the rocket has been nicknamed ‘Bahubali’.

The CMS–03 satellite, also referred to as GSAT-7R, is set to replace the GSAT-7 (Rukmini) satellite, which was launched in 2013, marking a new phase in India’s communication satellite program.
