Unique ‘Cuttack-in-Cuttack Main Gate’ Welcomes Visitors to Bali Jatra

‘Cuttack, 10th Nov 2025: The ground has been cleared, and the steel frame for the main gate has already been prepared. Work was temporarily halted due to rain, but it has resumed now that the weather has improved. In this way, the construction of the main gate for this year’s Bali Jatra at the Cuttack-in-Cuttack venue began on Tuesday. About 30 artisans are working on it.

This year, the gate is being built around the theme “Odia Identity: Our Language, Our Literature”, and the gate has been named “Our Language, Our Literature.” According to the artisans, the gate will be 40 feet high and 90 feet wide.

Additionally, the main gate will have a conical shape, and a map of Odisha will be featured on it. Inside the map, the Odia alphabet will be displayed. On the edges of the gate, there will be depictions of the Konark Chakra and prominent Odia figures. The gate will also be adorned with decorative light garlands, making it the center of attraction for visitors.

The artisans have set a target to complete the gate construction before November 3.
