Malkangiri, Nov 26: A joint public grievance hearing camp was organized by the Malkangiri district administration on Monday at the Papulur Gram Panchayat office under Chitrakonda Block.
District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay and Superintendent of Police Vinod Patil H. were present and listened to the grievances of the local people. A total of 393 grievances were heard during the camp — 256 individual complaints and 137 collective grievances.
The camp was organized by the district administration to ensure timely delivery of services under various government schemes.
Under the Basundhara Scheme, 59 beneficiaries were provided land pattas (ownership titles) by the Collector. Similarly, 56 new labour cards were issued, while 6 people registered their names. Labour cards of 8 workers were renewed. A total of 85 people participated in the labour-related services at the camp.
District-level officials, the BDO, and the Tahsildar were also present during the grievance hearing camp.
