Nabarangpur, Nov 27: A 16-day district-level programme was inaugurated at the Dabugam Block Mission Shakti Conference Hall, jointly organised by the District Social Welfare Department and the One Stop Centre. During the programme, District Social Welfare Officer Draupadi Kanhar delivered the welcome address and explained the goals and objectives of the 16-day campaign.
Ranjita Sahu, Centre Administrator of the Sakhi Centre, stated that the One Stop Centre, Nabarangpur—registered under the Lok Kalyaan portal of ISRD—will conduct various activities during the 16-day campaign. She also explained the schedule of events planned for each day and how women and girls will benefit from them. She requested the cooperation of all departmental officials to successfully implement the programme.
District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain, attending the event, said that this initiative is a commendable effort toward eliminating various forms of violence faced by women and girls. He added that the campaign aims to raise awareness not only among women but also among men.
Along with the District Collector, all district-level officials were present at the event.
Also in attendance were HEW District Coordinators Sarita Pani, Sasmita Patra, Preeti Bagh, Consultant Smaranika Patnaik, Case Worker Jasmin Singh, Health Worker Daminibala Nayak, Geetanjali Panigrahi (Shakti Sadan Administrator), Swarnalata Benia, Rashmita Jal, and others, who contributed to making the programme successful.
