Constitution Day Marked at Patritha Panchayat with Awareness Programmes

Papadahandi,  Nov 29:  Constitution Day at the Panchayat level was celebrated today at Patri under the Papadahandi Block. On 26th November 1949, India’s Constitution, drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, was adopted in the Constituent Assembly. Since then, this day has been observed across the country as Constitution Day. From 2015 onwards, Constitution Day has been celebrated nationwide with renewed emphasis.

On this occasion, various competitions were organized among students of local schools, including drawing, music, and debate competitions. The winners were felicitated by the attending guests.

Present at the event were local Panchayat PIO Manglu Bhatra, BPCC (PESA) Girija Prasad Dalai, Piramal Trust member Shubhashree Das, school headmaster Santosh Kumar Tripathy, Bishwaranjan Pani, Ranjita Behera, Himanshu Shekhar Sori, members of the women self-help groups, and villagers.

The guests highlighted various rights and privileges granted to citizens by the Constitution and enlightened the audience about their significance.
