Farmers Receive High-Quality Potato Seeds Under Government Scheme

Jharigaon, Nov 29:   In Bakadabeda under Jharigaon block of Nabarangpur district, potato seeds were distributed today to farmers of five panchayats—Dhodra, Bakadabeda, Chatiguda, Dangariguda, Dhamanaguda, and Kanakote—by the Horticulture Department.

Horticulture Department assistants Deepankar Gain, Lakshminath Majhi, and Dambarudhar Bhatra were present at the event. They distributed potato seeds to the farmers and also informed them about the various facilities being provided to farmers by the Horticulture Department.

In this distribution program, a total of 51 farmers from the five panchayats received potato seeds. Each farmer was given 2 quintals of potato seeds at a subsidized rate of ₹5,000. It has also been learned that later each farmer will be given 50 kg of onion seeds.
