Officials Urged to Provide Houses to All Landless Beneficiaries Without Delay

Bhubaneswar,  Dec, 08:  Directions have been issued to provide immediate house allotment to eligible landless families.  District Collectors have received strict instructions from the State Panchayati Raj Department.  Delays in providing permanent houses to the landless will not be tolerated.  A letter has been issued by the Panchayati Raj Department to ensure houses are provided to the beneficiaries.  To resolve the landless issue, a meeting will be held on the first Saturday of every month.  BDOs and Tehsildars are directed to hold joint meetings regarding the implementation.  Under PMAY-G, 271 landless families in Kendrapara have not yet received houses.  Currently, 37,89,234 families are living in kutcha (temporary) houses.  At present, 2,01,011 families remain landless.
