Bhubaneswar, Dec, 09: Paddy collection process: Tokens have been distributed to 5 districts.
A total of 2,94,594 tokens have been issued across the five districts.
Response from the Minister of Supply, Krishnachandra Patra:
“In Bargarh – 73,696 tokens, Balangir – 53,090 tokens, Kalahandi – 88,666 tokens”
“In Nuapada – 29,786 tokens, Sambalpur – 49,333 tokens have been distributed”
“Soon, the paddy collection process will start in other areas as well.”
“During the current Kharif season, 19,67,812 farmers have been registered.”
“The government plans to open model mandis in the near future.”
