Nabarangpur, Dec, 09: Nabarangpur district is number one in Odisha in maize production. Hundreds of farmers in this district cultivate maize on thousands of acres, yet they are not able to get a fair price for their produce. There are also no proper market facilities for maize traders. Therefore, today during the Zero Hour of the sacred Legislative Assembly, I requested the establishment of a maize market (maize mandi) for the benefit of the maize-growing farmer brothers of our district,” said Narsingha Majhi.
