Nabarangpur, Dec, 15: The Fourth National Lok Adalat–2025 was successfully conducted at the District Court by the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, under the direction of the District & Sessions Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, Shri Subrat Mahanti.
During the Lok Adalat, District & Sessions Judge Shri Subrat Mahanti disposed of one motor accident compensation claim case and awarded compensation amounting to Rs 10,21,434. Family Court Judge Lillipta Pasayat resolved 13 family dispute cases, out of which in three long-pending disputes, reconciliation was achieved between the couples, bringing an end to prolonged conflicts.
Senior Civil Judge Monita Tripathy disposed of three bank loan-related dispute cases and recovered loan amounts totaling Rs 8,57,025.86, along with the settlement of four civil cases. Similarly, Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Nabarangpur, Soumya Shankar Mohanty disposed of 66 criminal cases and settled three NI Act cases, recovering fines amounting to Rs15,353.
Judicial Magistrate Second Class Ankita Panigrahi resolved seven criminal cases. In this National Lok Adalat, a total of 100 court cases and 37,730 revenue cases were disposed of, resulting in the recovery of Rs 4,34,03,654 as revenue. Additionally, 22 bank-related pre-litigation cases were settled, recovering loan amounts of Rs 5,79,784.
Furthermore, 187 pre-litigation cases related to TPSODL were settled, leading to the recovery of Rs 15,86,651 towards electricity dues.
Other dignitaries present at the National Lok Adalat included Additional District Judge Bishnu Prasad Mishra and Chief Judicial Magistrate Seema Tripathy. The event was coordinated and managed by the In-charge Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Smt. Shashwati Mishra, with active cooperation from court advocates and staff members.
