Bhubaneswar, Dec, 22 : The Directorate of Secondary Education has released the school holiday calendar for 2026. Next year, schools will observe 82 holidays in addition to Sundays.
Among these, holidays for Netaji Jayanti, Republic Day, Utkal Divas, Independence Day, Ganesh Puja, and Gandhi Jayanti will be observed in schools.
Considering the summer season, a total of 38 days of summer vacation is scheduled from 6th May to 17th June. During Durga Puja and winter season, 8 days of holidays are planned. Durga Puja holidays will be from 17th to 26th October, while winter break is scheduled from 23rd to 31st December.
Additionally, as per the District Education Officer’s approval, 2 local holidays will also be granted.
