‘Shabda Kuber’ Award Conferred on Eminent Poet Manoranjan Mahanti

 Agarapada, Jan, 13:  The fifth annual festival of the family literary organisation “Ama Agana Ganare Saja Phula” was held in Bhubaneswar. The programme was organised under the guidance of the institution’s founder, Pradyumna Kumar Bhutia.

On this occasion, Mihir Kumar Meher attended as the chief guest, Manoj Kumar delivered the keynote address, Santosh Kumar Kar was present as guest of honour, and Bipin Kumar Lenka Behera participated as a distinguished guest. The stage proceedings were conducted by Krushna Chandra Mahapatra.

During the event, child artiste Annapurna Nayak presented a classical dance performance. The annual magazine published by the organisation, “Ama Aganara Saja Phula,” was released. Along with this, books including “Anjulaye Phula” by Sikta Kar, the short story collection “Shrabani,” and “Jharaka Se Pakha” by Sulekha Supriya Mahanti were also unveiled.

On behalf of the organisation, leading literary bodies such as Banibika Sahitya Anusthan, Bhargavi Sahitya Sansad, and Binapani Sahitya Sansad were felicitated for their contributions to the field of literature. Pandit Jagabandhu Nanda of the Jenapur area in Jajpur district was honoured with the “Maa Biraja Bhumiputra Samman” for his contribution to nature and environmental conservation.

The successful conduct of the programme was supported by key members of the organisation, including Kunjabihari Dalai, Sasmita Barik, Swagatika Sahu, Arundhati Lenka, Subrata Das, Debaki Bhutia, Nilima Pattnaik, and Jayanti Behera.

At the conclusion of the event, Rita Aparajita Mahanti and Supriya Mahanti offered the vote of thanks. Writers and poets from various districts of Odisha were felicitated during the programme. Among them, Manoranjan Mahanti, a writer and litterateur from Ramakrishnapur village of Bhadrak district, was specially honoured with the “Shabda Kuber” Award for his significant contribution to the field of literature.
