Farmers Get Relief as Paddy Buying Extended up to March

Bhubaneswar,   Jan, 13:  This year, paddy procurement in the mandis will continue until March.
Supply Minister Krishna Chandra Patra’s statement:
“So far, 10.50 lakh metric tons of paddy have been procured.”
“2.30 lakh farmers have sold their paddy,” the minister said.
“Paddy procurement is ongoing in 18 districts, and 11 lakh farmers have received tokens.”
“Rs 2,350 crore has been credited to farmers’ accounts.”
The Supply Minister confirmed that paddy will be purchased from all farmers.
