No Plan to Demolish Existing Odisha Assembly Building, Says Works Minister

Bhubaneswar,  Jan, 21:  Present Odisha Legislative Assembly Building Will Not Be Demolished: Works Minister
Former minister hints at the formation of a Legislative Council in the state
“The present Assembly building will not be demolished; it will be preserved as a heritage structure”
It will be used as a museum – Prithviraj Harichandan
“If a Legislative Council is formed in the future, it can be used for that purpose”
“The new Assembly building will be constructed between Lok Seva Bhavan and the existing Assembly”
This means the government plans to preserve the current Assembly building for historical and future institutional use, not destroy it.
