Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a welcome decision to increase the monthly allowance of Gram Rakshis working in rural areas of the state.
Earlier, they were receiving a monthly allowance of Rs 1,800. With the new decision, Gram Rakshis will now receive Rs 2,500 per month.
It is hoped that this increase will improve the financial condition of the Gram Rakshis.
